This garden was built by Abdul Hasan Asaf Khan in the year 1633 and is located on the banks of Dal Lake.

Hazratbal Mosque- This is one of the most ancient religious places in Srinagar and holds great historical value. It is a beautiful mosque made of white marble and is located on the banks of the Dal Lake. This grand architecture is reminiscent of the blend of the great Kashmiri and Mughal architecture. This mosque has been christened with various names by the devotees like the Madinat-us-Sani, Asar-e-Sharif, Dargah Sharif etc. A relic of the great prophet of Islam nmaed Muhammed is present in this mosque in the form of a hair and is greatly revered by the devotees.
Jama Masjid- Another popular religious place that bears a strong influence on the overall religious fervor and cultural ethos of Srinagar is this ancient mosque that stands tall denoting the greatness of the Islamic architecture. Built in the year 1674, the mosque has around 370 pillars with large prayer halls and 4 towers. This mosque is a place of regular visit for many locals and especially on Fridays, this mosque is hugely crowded.
Shankaracharya Temple- Built by King Jaluka, the son of great emperor Ashoka around the year 200 BC, this enthralling monument spreads across a mountainous range that is located at a height of 1,100 feet. One can get hold of an enchanting view of the snow clad mountains of the Pir Panjal mountain range and is one of the highlights of the tourism circuit in Srinagar.
